Addictive Games on Mobile Phones Over the Last 20 years

The mobile gaming industry has been expanding over the past few years and the easy access that it offers means that it is possibly even more popular than console gaming. This year is witnessing the launch of things like Pokémon GO, but this piece will examine some of the big games from the past.

1. Snake

This free Android and iOS game hit mobile phones back in the mid-1990s and it is one of the retro games that people still choose to play on them today – indicating just how addictive it is. The original version sees you given a dot within a limited space, which gradually grows longer each time you move it – with the aim being to keep moving the snake-like shape without touching any of the borders. It spawned several follow-ups, such as Snake Xenzia and Snake EX.

2. Two Dots

This game for all platforms has been around for a couple of years now and is essentially join the dots for mobiles – except you drag the dots over different landscapes, including a jungle and a tundra. There are also various problems you will encounter to make the basic game more tricky and no less than 185 levels to be completed – so it will be a while before you exhaust the game.

3. Lastronaut

This is a free apocalyptic game available on iOS and Android where you play as the last survivor in a wasteland and it initially became popular due to high quality graphics. It does look really good, but it also offers exciting gameplay and made its two novice developers a strong reputation. Within a week of having made its debut, Lastronaut had been downloaded a million times and is still going strong.

4. Candy Crush Saga

This game features a puzzle based around having to match different coloured candies in rows – some of which have special properties, like the ability to remove those around them. It features several levels to be completed and has linked with Facebook so that you can ask friends for in-game credits, which has added to the popularity of the game. It is easily one of the most widely-played mobile games.

5. Soccer Safari

While football-based online casino slots games are numerous, Soccer Safari is one that has stood the test of time. Over ten years old now, this animal World Cup in the jungle game features very funny cartoon graphics of the animal players and a really fun bonus game centred on free kicks and penalties. Throw in the usual jackpot, wild and scatter icons and free spins, plus really cheap game-play, and you have a top notch slots game.

It is easy to imagine that the likes of Pokémon GO will be on lists like this in the future as well as games found on sites like http://www.mobilecasinoaustralia.com.au, given the response to them from the gaming public.
