Hurrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, DO WANT!

Also, Tenner?! That's a mental price! In time for the LAN too

Don't waste your money, it's even more broken than CSS.

That its priced at such a low point says it all, Valve know they dont have a premium product, its been a mess since conception. Still fanboys and wannabe 'pro's' will purchase it and Valve will make another killing.

CS:GO isnt worthy of the Countersrike name, not by a longshot, hell CSS was barely worthy of it either. Theres good reason CS 1.6 still outplays it on Steam everyday, and even thats an atrocity compared to 1.3 :P

So not worth it, stick with CSS for lannage?

Personally I wont touch it, but im sure there will be people with the LAN with it.

Ive no doubt it will sell a zillion copies purely because its CS, but as a CS title its trash.

I'm open to trying anything. I liked CS:S and 1.4 was before my time. Gotta be better than COD right?

And stop being good after the First Modern Warfare, and by now is a complete joke.

TBH ill only get it then if it gets played a lot at lans / theme nights.

As a n00b can you explain to me why CSS is broken, in my experience I run round a lot, die a lot and occasionally fire a shot and it hits a enemy, never really had a issue with errors / broken textures / crashing ect?
Seems pretty well working to me?

Yourself you wouldnt see a lot of the problems as a casual player, but to name some of the biggest things they messed up, and not just for CSS, the entire source engine -

Hitboxes, size and interpolation compared to what you see on the screen is horribly innacurate in comparison to the HL engine. Basically things that should hit wont at times, no matter who you are.

Spray patterns, hardcore CS players know spray patterns down to the location of every bullet, in source they decided to ruin that, and even added randomization, taking away massive skill elements.

Netcode and Hardware, put simply, you can put the same player on several different machines with different hardware, even if all running the source engine at the same FPS, and he will perform differently on every one regardless of skill. Me and Trep actually demonstrated this at a LAN.

Im going to stop before I turn this into a rambling essay, but it does go on and on, and CS:GO adds to this even further, taking every element source got wrong and making it even worse to be honest.

I miss Trep

But IRL a gun would never spray the same?

This is one of my main problems with GO, aside from the worsened hitboxes and complete and utter raping of de_train (I won't say any more on that as I won't be able to stop), they've managed to bork spraying even more. Fire anything above 2-3 bullets and it doesn't matter how close you are to the opponent, you'll be lucky to get a hit. I raged after a mix a few nights ago after emptying half a clip into someone point blank (I could have rammed the AK up their arse) and getting 2 hits for something stupid like 23 damage.

Oh, and getting a whopping 10 in 1 damage with a deagle to the face point blank... yeah.

It would for the most part.

There is very little randomisation in any quality weapon, beyond wear and tear, and weathers conditions, that's the whole point, everything is accountable and controllable, the way it was in the original CS, not in the terrible iterations afterwards.
