A complete overhaul has been given to the 'Scroll of Resurrection' system used to bring back previous players of World of Warcraft to Azeroth to continue their adventures.
Previously the referer was able to grant the referee free levels to enable them to level faster and join their friends in end level content. The referrer was awarded with a free 2 person mount once the referee applied gametime to their account.
Now the rewards have been completely redone and you get the following:
Referee -
- A free upgrade to the latest content expansion, Cataclysm regardless of what stage of WoW your account is on
- A free level 80 character to enable you to get into the end game action quicker with your friend
- A free realm/faction change for an existing character on your acount to join your friend on their realm/faction
- And 7 free days of gametime.
Referer -
- Gets a spectral Wind Rider/ Gryphon depending on your faction once your friend applies 30 days gametime to their account.
That is a massive amount of freebies for the returning player and a nice mount to the existing one.
