Mind the gap! 4A Games have confirmed that shooter sequel Metro: Last Light will not ship with a multiplayer component.
Up until now, all of the previews have concentrated on the single player campaign; it turns out there was a small team working on developing a viable multiplayer mode, but nothing was deemed suitable to progress beyond the prototyping stage.
4A have hinted that they wouldn't rule out taking another look at multiplayer post-release, however at this stage there attention is focused purely on providing the best single-player experience possible; and given how much we loved Metro 2033, we're not going to complain.
