Patch Incoming For PS3 Version Of The Silent Hill HD Collection

In our review of the PS3 version of the Silent Hill HD Collection we picked up upon a few issues that negatively impacted upon our play experience. You can read our review here but in short, a lot of lag and frame rate issues really hindered us during our play through.

The good news is that if you are a PS3 user, you can rejoice as you are going to get a patch to hopefully fix these issues, Hurrah! But if your an Xbox 360 user...well...tough titties im afraid.

You can read the press release below:

"Today, Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. announced that while a PlayStation3 online title update for Silent Hill HD Collection has been deployed for download via PlayStation Network, plans for an XBOX 360 title update have been cancelled due to technical issues and resources.

Understanding the issues some users are experiencing, KONAMI issued a title update for Silent Hill HD Collection (PS3), which fixed frame rate issues as well as audio-synching and other reported issues. KONAMI apologizes to any players who are continuing to experience these issues on the XBOX 360 sku"

So yeah, you guys on Xbox just get an apology which quite frankly sucks to be honest.

Are you an Xbox user who has been affected by these issues? What do you think about the fix not being available for you? Leave us a comment and let us know.

Hey! Hey Playstation guys! Guess what! Good news. You know that game we released five months ago? The one you probably couldn't give two ****s about any more? Here! Have a patch!

Hey! Hey Xbox guys! Guess what! **** you.

Yeah bit like that aint it...

Just chatting with Wedge about this, he says that its Microsoft standing in the way of this being patched due to the charges that they enforce for patches but my view is that they owe it to their customers to pay out that fee.

If the game didn't have these issues to begin with, then they wouldn't need to patch it at all, but it does and that's the fact of the matter. They owe it to Xbox customers to fix the game that they sold.

I dont think its fair at all, but thats just me.

Pretty much. I won't claim to know what the fee business is about, but I'm sure with all the gullible *******s that bought the game on the Xbox they can afford to pay it to at least give the poor souls a playable experience.

The way I see it, if you arnt prepared to pay the fee's to fix the broken game you pushed out, then you shouldn't be considering releasing your game upon that platform.
