Alien Isolation Developer Interview and PS4 Gameplay Footage Revealed

Creative Assembly have given PlayStation Access a chance to check out Alien Isolation, a brand new survival horror title heading to PS4 (amongst other platforms) late in 2014. The unique sounding horror game is based on Ridley Scotts original Alien movie and is focused on your survival, one on one, against an alien from the film.

The story fills the gap between the Alien and Aliens movies. In Alien the ship, Nostromo, simply vanishes at the end and the second movie, Aliens, is set many years later. The game covers what happens in that gap. Since Aliens mentions how important and expensive the Nostromo was the team reasoned that it makes sense that someone would go and try to find it.

Alien Isolation is the story of Amanda Ripley, Ellen Ripleys daughter, who does just that. Set 15 years after the Alien movie she is approached by someone who has a blackbox from the Nostromos and asked if she wants to explore what has happened.

Once on your journey the action centers on you exploring and surviving whilst trying to discover what happened on the Nostromos. Every move you make matters and your survival is dependent on split second choices you make.

In this interview you can hear the team talk about the passion that went into Alien Isolation's development. They discuss the evolving of the idea over the last three years, the inspirations they had and their hopes for the game.

You can also check out the trailer for the game below.
