Banner Saga 2 Release Dated

The sequel to the epic indie hit The Banner Saga, Banner Saga 2 for PC will finally launch on Tuesday 19th April, 2016. The game has been plagued by delays as the team worked hard to improve upon their original BAFTA nominated hit. Originally planned for 2015, the game was delayed into the first quarter of 2016 and will be releasing just slightly outside of that window on the PC, with console versions to follow in the summer.

The team also revealed their plans for a showcase at PAX East in Boston which runs from 22-24th April to celebrate Banner Saga 2’s launch week. The showcase, which is being sponsored by partners AMD and Razer, has been designed to give attendees an inside look into the Banner Saga universe and will take place over the full three days of the event. Fans will be able to play the newly released game on the Versus Evil booth at the show.

As well as displaying the game, the team will have a host of other viking-based fun for attendees. They're encouraging fans to cosplay as their favourite characters from the title and giving away free tshirts and pin badges to select lucky attendees. If you've ever fancied donning a ginger beard and a horned helmet then going pillaging, well Boston might be the place for you this April.
