Deus Ex Mankind Divided is Dividing Steam User Reviews

A few days ago we reported about No Man's Sky and its Steam user reviews. It had received pretty bad reviews after launch issues, though Hello Games were quick to start addressing them.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has launched with a multitude of issues (seemingly confined to the PC version), and the Steam users have been out in droves to address this. At time of writing there are just over 1,000 negative user reviews to almost 2,000 positive.

Eidos Montréal are working to address the problems being reported - which include poor optimisation and crashes.

However, most of the ire seems to be directed towards the DLC. Available at launch, and so not to reviewers, players can purchase the Tactical Pack and the Assault Pack, which come with some items you can use in a single save file.

This means that, if you save becomes corrupted for some reason, you lose the DLC weapons and grenades. At £4 per go, that might get expensive. The items unlocked with the purchase of the Season Pass are also locked to a single save file.

There is also an in-game store, where players can get microtransactions of Praxis kits, crafting parts and credit chips (again for one save only), costing from 79p up to £8.

At time of publishing, there are only three negative reviews which do not mention the microtransactions in some way out of the first 20. Clearly it has struck a note with gamers, and we'll keep you posted.
