DiRT Rally Announce Partnership With World Rallycross

Codemasters has announced a partnership with the FIA World Rallycross championships.

The partnership will bring a rallycross update to DiRT Rally at an as of yet unannounced date later this month.

For those not brushed up on their motor-racing classes, rallycross is a mixed-surface track racing series where tuned rally cars go head-to-head in a number of heats. 

Details are still scarce at this point but you can see a screenshot of the update, which shows a playable Rallycross stage, below.

There is still no release date for this Rallycross update, but in the meantime, you can get your wheels on some tarmac as part of the German rally update which was released last week.

DiRT Rally is currently available on Steam Early Access, with updates in an abundant supply.
