Dragons Prophet Shutting Down in North America

Dragons Prophet Shutting Down in North America

After just celebrating its second birthday in North America, Dragon's Prophet is to shut up shop. It's been a tumultuous 2 years with the original publisher going bankrupt, and server mergers coming a year ago being cited at the time as the beginning of the end. Nevertheless, the MMORPG has kept its cult fanbase happy for 2 years up until this point.

Europe and Asian players are not affected at the moment as their version of the game is handled by a different publisher, however players who are not in these regions will not be able to transfer their characters. Daybreak issued a statement via the game's official website; "There is no mechanism or software support for transferring a character to another publisher."

Any players with a balance of Daybreak Cash (the in-game currency used for this and other Daybreak titles) will be able to continue to redeem it in game up until the 17th November when the game goes offline for the last time. If they haven't spent their balance by then, they will have to spend it on other Daybreak games as no refunds are to be offered. There will be plenty to spend that balance on thought as the prices on items in the in-game marketplace have now been slashed.
