E3 2014: Batman: Arkham Knight Gameplay Trailer

Nearer the end of Sony’s press event at E3, we got to see some new gameplay footage of Batman: Arkham Knight and it's looking very nice.

Starting in his mansion, Batman is donning his armor which looks both flexible and durable. Walking out of a door, he stands on his balcony, surveying the huge city before diving off. He then proceeds to glide through the city at high speeds. Making a dive bomb, he jumps into his batmobile and begins to use that to make his way through the city. The batmobile looks a bit too easy to drive and doesn’t look like it has much weight to it at this stage.

The batmobile then transforms into an ATV-type of vehicle with a turret on top of it. The batmobile can now move in any direction and take out enemies with a barrage of different weapons. Flying out of the batmobile, Batman glides further around the city before landing on a building and taking out some enemies. This is done in hand-to-hand combat and shown in slow motion. The graphics look really nice and the movement feels incredibly fluid. Batman finds The Penguin and then the video begins to error and we are introduced to the Scarecrow. He looks a lot more gritty this time around with sewn flesh rather than a bag on his face.

Batman: Arkham Knight still doesn't have a release date, but pre-ordering will allow you to play as Harley Quinn.
