E3 2014: EA Sports Reveal 2015 Lineup

During the E3 press conference today EA Sports had a pretty powerful presence as the sports game lineup for 2015 was unveiled. The titles shown included UFC 15, Fifa 15, Madden NFL 15, PGA 15 and a new extreme sports title from developers Criterion. The games shown all touted a range of improvements over previous titles as the team aims to take advantage of the technology of the new generation consoles.

The UFC 15 reveal came with the inclusion of Bruce Lee as a playable character. Fifa 15 is set to run at 60FPS and 1080p and includes developments such as persistent pitch wear, improved collision detection and reworked crowd technology. The Madden NFL 15 trailer focused on improved camera angles as well as the showcasing of newly developed game mechanics for defensive portions of the game. PGA 15 touted itself as 'golf without limits'; being developed on the Forstbite 3 engine it now has entire courses without loading times and exploding battleships ploughing through courses.

With the exception of exploding golf battleships, what could be the most interesting title showcased is a new IP from developers Criterion that has players flying planes amongst other air craft, diving off cliffs wearing flight suits and jumping from gliders onto moving quad bikes. The game footage shown included some very rough alpha footage and lacks a title.
