Intelligence is used for a variety of important tasks. Need to get past a locked door? Hack it with your enhanced intellect. Use your book-smarts to craft insane weapons, giving you the upper hand in combat. Higher intelligence also allows you to make enhanced potions and chemical compounds, which can be used to keep you alive, or your enemies down.

When your Fallout 4 journey starts, there are going to be some tough decisions to make. Intelligence is going to be useful for many ocassions, but what use are awesome weapons if you don't know how to use them? That's for you to figure out.
