Director Carl Rinsch has been removed from the editing room for upcoming action fantasy adventure film 47 Ronin which stars Keanu Reeves and Hiroyuki Sanada.
Universal made the move once reshoots, that recently took place in London, concluded after the budget for the 3D production spiraled up to $225 million. Universal co-chairman Donna Langley is now overseeing the editing process for the film.
47 Ronin is a fictional account of a real life group of samurai in 18th century Japan who set out to get revenge on those who murdered their master, the film is set for release in the US on December 25.
