20th Century Fox have released the first official image of Hugh Jackman as Logan in 'The Wolverine', the James Mangold (Cop Land, Identity, Knight And Day) directed sequel to 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
I love the Wolverine films, but I cant help but think why are they focusing on him so much? There are loads of X-Men that would make for interesting films but they seem fixated upon Wolverine.
At a guess because he's the most well known and to an extent, marketable.
The X-Men trilogy was essentially Wolverine 1-3 and Origins a prelude, the other characters are always on the side. Expected, though. I highly doubt the original trilogy would have been as successful had Jackman been support and James Marsden the star.
As cool as Wolverine is, getting rather boring and repetitive now with the SAME story almost over and over.
