Sony To Adapt Olen Steinhauer's Novel The Tourist

New York Times best seller The Tourist is the first book in Olen Steinhauer's espionage trilogy (followed by The Nearest Exit and An American Spy) following Milo Weaver, a CIA agent who specializes in black ops.

Olen Steinhauer's trilogy will now be making the transition to film thanks to Sony Pictures who have acquired the film rights to the books and have attached Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Jumper) to direct. Co-produced by Liman and Dave Bartis, Matt Corman and Chris Ord (Covert Affairs) will write the script.
