Former Ubisoft Developer Accuses Shadow of Mordor of Using His Assassin's Creed II Code
Charles Randall is a former Ubisoft developer who worked on the first two Assassin's Creed games. In a jokey post on Twitter he is claiming that the latest Lord of the Rings game, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, appears to be using his code and animations from Assassin's Creed II.
Check it out guys! I apparently made a Middle Earth game! http://t.co/a1orhWip1C

Randal followed this up with a string of tweets explaining exactly what he believes he has seen.
Seriously, can someone tell me how Assassin's Creed 2 code and assets are in this Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor game?

@missharvey this is *my* code in that game! I better at least see myself in the special thanks. WTF?

Randall spent over 2 years working on Assassin's Creed games and is very certain that his code and animation are in this trailer. He appears to have taken it well he just claims to want some credit for his work.
I know I don't have any legal rights to what I did on Assassin's Creed 2 but I sure hope I get a special thanks on that Middle Earth game.

It seems despite the alleged "borrowing" of his code he is still a supporter of the new game.
For the record though, that Middle Earth game looks pretty damn awesome. And I love AC2 so it's kind of a double win.
