Is a Sequel to Knack in Development?

Is a Sequel to Knack in Development?

When the PS4 launched, one of the first games to be bundled with it was Knack. It was an in house developed platformer with a number of original elements such as stealth sections. It was released to a fair but not rapturous reception, gaining middling scores from most outlets (including us). It was a bold move from Sony in an attempt to show that the PS4 was created to cater for various types of gamers, including those preferring a slow paced colourful platformer to big budget FPS games.

Whilst the game still managed to sell over a million copies, it was not considered a large success and Sony expressed their disappointment that it was not as popular as they had hoped. Hopes of a sequel were not high and talk of the game tapered off. That is, until now.

Gaming website Controller crusade managed to unearth some details on a  possible sequel in development. On the LinkedIn profile of an employee of XPEC Entertainment is a project currently in progress. Animator Mindy Liang is apparently working on graphics for the game on PS4 and has been since May 2015.
