Live Action Trailer for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

The 23rd of August will see the latest game in the Deus Ex franchise hit digital and physical store shelves. To show us more of the backstory of the game, and help explain how we got to the events of the new game from Deus Ex: Mankind Evolved.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has a fairly controversial theme, in which human interaction is looked at through the divisions between mechanically augmented humans, and those who are unaltered. The resulting conflict is the backdrop to the game and in a new live action trailer, we see more details of this. 

In 2027, mechanically-augmented people all over the world suffered from extreme psychotic delusions, lost control of themselves, and started attacking people. Millions died. Hundreds of thousands more were injured and maimed. In the wake of this global catastrophe, society has become divided by hatred, prejudice, and fear, with many countries now enacting harsh laws. The most notable of these laws is the highly controversial “Human Restoration Act”, aimed at isolating “Augs” and keeping them away from “Naturals”.
