Mafia III The Heist gamescom 2016 Trailer

From what we can tell in the trailer above, it takes place before what we've seen of Lincoln Clay in previous trailers. Presumably the opening mission, showing why Clay wants to rule New Orleans.

It's not clear how much of the footage is gameplay footage, and how much is prerendered, but we would err on it being prerendered.

Mafia III launches on 7th October for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
