Need For Speed To Require Constant Internet Connection

The recent reveal of a Need for Speed reboot has generally been met with cautious optimism, with long time fans pleased that the series is seemingly going back to its roots.

What hasn't been greeted so positively is the news that Need for Speed will require a constant internet connection, so says the official Twitter account. 

"What's the point of that?" I hear you ask. 

"More variety and a more rewarding experience with friends" apparently.

What 'more variety' actually pertains to remains to be seen, but with a full reveal trailer confirmed to be at E3, it won't be long until we find out.

The official Xbox site has also been kind enough to leak the release date for the upcoming racer, so mark your calendars for 3rd November.
