New Gameplay Trailer for The Wild Eight

You may recall that we recently covered The Wild Eight, a Kickstarter hopeful aiming to bring a new spin on the survival genre. Well, that game has just recently hit its funding target, meaning that all being well, we will be able to play it by the end of the year. In celebration of this, indie developer 8 points have released a new gameplay trailer, showing off pre-alpha footage of the game in action.

Although it can be played alone, the game is designed to also support co-op with you and up to seven of your friends. As the lone survivors of a dreadful plane crash, you must fight off packs of wolves and bears, hunt for food, and do your best to ensure the group's survival as well as your own. The procedurally generated world is designed to encourage multiple replays with evey game being at least a little different. The Wild Eight will be released on Windows, Mac, and Linux in late 2016/early 2017, followed by Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
