Nintendo Finally Announce New Console
As we reported, Nintendo have come out with an announcement video about their newest console.
Called the Nintendo Switch.
As rumoured, it is a handheld home console, which means that you can continue playing your game on the move. As the video shows - need to walk the dog? Just take the console out with you, thanks to its integrated display.
What's more, the Joy-Con controller is modular, allowing you to remove parts and attach them to the screen - or just use them separately. However, you can also purchase the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.
It will use GameCards which look to be larger than SD cards.
It is coming in March 2017, and they will release more information at some point before that.

Seeing a lot of third party focus throughout that was a pleasant surprise and seeing Skyrim Special Edition up there at least gives an indication that it's roughly equivalent to current gen systems.
Seeing the snap-in system in action was satisfying and if it actually works just like that in reality it'll be neat. Now we just have to wait and see what the launch lineup, price and support from third parties shapes up like.

The snap-in thing will work great. Until your kids (also, the target market) get their sticky mits on the thing and cram it full of food gunk...

And as cool as the snappable controller stuff looks. That seems an awful lot of bits to potentially lose. That plus jam-covered fingers everywhere means it'll be a great machine for kids! :D
