No Man's Sky Reviews Improve but still Loses Players

We reported a few days ago that No Man's Sky was receiving many more negative Steam reviews than Positive ones. After some quick work by Hello Games, they seem to have quickly recovered, now standing at only 16,000 negative, to 23,000 positive.

Unfortunately, this still hasn't stopped them from losing more than half of players on Steam in just a few days, according to Steam Charts. It's not uncommon for the playerbase to drop off, but when the starting number was over 200,000 it might raise some warning flags.

Battleborn was met by an unfavourable audience, yet it still took two weeks to lose half of its Steam user base.

A post on the /r/NoMansSkyGame subreddit may shed some light on things, as it goes into exhaustive detail on the aspects of the game that were shown in videos, or mentioned in interviews, which have been changed or removed outright before launch.

If you're experiencing problems with the game, take a look at the PC support page. The PS4 support page is here.
