Prototype Of SNES PlayStation Found
For those who don't know, the PlayStation's birth was a slightly unnatural one. Sony were originally set to partner with Nintendo, and the PlayStation as we know it was to be nothing more than a disc based add-on for Nintendo's SNES.
Nintendo decided to partner with Sony's rival, Phillips, which the folks at Sony took to heart, and thus, the PlayStation was born.
Now, a Reddit user has posted pictures of what he claims to be a prototype of the unreleased add-on, which are available to view on Nintendo Life.
The validity of the photos has not been confirmed as of yet, but they certainly look legitimate. If so, they represent the first hands-on look at a truly historic piece of gaming hardware.
