Red Ash - Spiritual Successor To Mega Man Legends

A spiritual successor to Mega Man Legends is being made by Keiji Inafune and Comcept. Titled Red Ash, the game pays homage to Japanese animation and will allow players to immerse themselves in an explorable anime world. A seperate animation project called Red Ash: Magicicada is being created by Studio 4°C and will share the the properties of the world and characters of Red Ash. 

Red Ash is set to be a 3D action adventure game with third person shooter elements. You play as Beck who is tasked with infiltrating the Mobile Citadel KalKanon before The Peacemaker, an electromagnetic cannon destroys it. KalKanon is on a crash course with the city of Great Slope and Gecko Company have designed The Peacemaker to stop it. 

Other details of the story show that humanity has been driven to the brink of extinction due to a Robot World War and now battles feral robot weapons in a world of ruins. New cities have formed with the help of Lost Technology and a wealthy class have helped expand these new settlements.
