Rumour: Mass Effect Andromeda To Get Prequel Novel?

A retail listing for a Mass Effect Andromeda prequel novel, titled Initiation may have leaked. Supposedly written by N. K. Jemisin, a fan of Mass Effect herself, the novel would lead into Mass Effect Andromeda and release before the game - that is if it follows the pattern of Bioware's past novels, which have preceded the original Mass Effect games.

The supposed store listing can be found here, though we wouldn't be surprised if the listing was removed soon. The cover image pens the book as "The official prequel to the eagerly awaited game from Bioware". Perhaps the name Initiation suggests that the novel will explore the creation of the Pathfinder Initiative which could be tasked with finding a new home for humanity over in Andromeda?

This is by no means an official confirmation for the book, but there's certainly a chance that it could be legit. Keep an eye here on GameGrin for more news as we get it though.
