Tekken 7 Reveals New Character Josie Rizal

Three new characters are joining the Tekken 7 roster, including the brand new character Josie Rizal.

Hailing from the Philippines, Josie (not to be confused with her namesake, Filipino national hero José Rizal) uses both kickboxing and eskrima-based attacks. Mad Catz' Mark "Markman" Julio, who is of Filipino descent, was consulted on her design--which is heavily inspired by the colours and sun motif of the nation's flag--and even suggested naming her after José Rizal.

Josie also appears pretty excited to join the Tekken team, to the point of bursting into tears of joy at winning her match.

Bandai Namco also announced the return of Jin and Demon Jin.
