USSR Aviation Focus this Weekend for War Thunder

As part of the lead up to the Victory Day celebrations, Gaijin developers have events running for the past 2 weekends giving out premium vehicles, and this weekend is no different.

From 15:00 GMT 24th of April to 07:00 GMT 27th of April, there's a series of achievements available to complete, which will get you the I-16 Type 28 and B-25J-30 premiums on the USSR tree.

Each of the Fighter or Bomber Trophies received upon completing a stage grants you a chance to get one of the following: wagers, boosters, some Silver Lions, random 50% discount on premium vehicles or the above-mentioned planes directly.

USSR Fighter Trophy Tasks

Complete the tasks and receive “The Fighter Trophy” for each stage of 5.
Complete all 5 stages and receive the I-16 type 28 USSR premium fighter for free.

• First stage - destroy 40/14/8 enemy aircraft in AB/RB/SB while flying a fighter of ranks 2-5.
• Second stage - destroy 80/27/16 enemy aircraft in AB/RB/SB while flying a fighter of ranks 2-5.
• Third stage (30% discount for I-16 type 28) - destroy 120/40/24 enemy aircraft in AB/RB/SB while flying a fighter of ranks 2-5.
• Fourth stage (50% discount for I-16 type 28) - destroy 160/54/32 enemy aircraft in AB/RB/SB while flying a fighter of ranks 2-5.
• Fifth stage (I-16 type 28 for free) - destroy 200/67/40 enemy aircraft in AB/RB/SB while flying a fighter of ranks 2-5.

USSR Bomber Trophy Tasks

Complete the tasks and receive “The Bomber Trophy” for each stage of 5.
Complete all 5 stages and receive the B-25J-30 (USSR) premium bomber for free.

• First stage - destroy 50/25/25 enemy ground units in AB/RB/SB while flying a bomber of ranks 2-5
• Second stage - destroy 100/50/50 enemy ground units in AB/RB/SB while flying a bomber of ranks 2-5
• Third stage (30% discount for B-25J-30 (USSR)) - destroy 150/75/75 enemy ground units in AB/RB/SB while flying a bomber of ranks 2-5
• Fourth stage (50% discount for B-25J-30 (USSR)) - destroy 200/100/100 enemy ground units in AB/RB/SB while flying a bomber of ranks 2-5
• Fifth stage (B-25J-30 (USSR) for free) - destroy 250/125/125 enemy ground units in AB/RB/SB while flying a bomber of ranks 2-5

The I-16 Type 28 is a very nimble fighter with 2 ShVAK wing mounted cannons (with a slightly faster firing rate than the nose mounted ones because there is no need to synchronise the firing through the propeller) and a very dangerous plane to go up against; the B-25J-30 is a sturdy bomber that can clear ground targets effectively and get pretty good returns because of the premium bonuses.

Note: As with previous weeks, the plane type which you use to achieve the ground unit or plane kill doesn't matter as of now as long as it is rank II to V. This is likely a glitch, and may change anytime.
