World of Tanks PS4 Beta Coming Soon

Wargaming today announced the free-to-play multiplayer game World of Tanks on will get a three day open Beta between the 4th and 6th of December. Handily enough, this coincides with the PlayStation Experience weekend at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. This means that event attendees can play World of Tanks on PS4 for the first time in North America at the Wargaming booth of aforementioned show.

Exclusive in-game items await those taking part in the three day Beta event. All players who login during the Beta period will receive a PlayStation 20th anniversary exclusive M22 Locust US light tank, adorned in the classic PlayStation grey colour scheme along with a special emblem. Pre-Release bundles will become available in the PSN Store as well including a free T1E6-PS US Premium light tank with exclusive camouflage and four Founder’s Packs with special Premium tanks available for a limited time.

The game will support complete Dual Shock 4 functionality, Share Play and Remote Play, along with optimized controls specific to the version. There will also be two limited time exclusive maps for the PS4: “Ruinberg”, and “Scorpion Pass”, which is set to be the largest World of Tanks map to date.

There's no requirements to join: the beta will be open to all PS4 players and al you need to do is download it and start shooting come the start of the beta.

To give a background as to the hard work the team have put into getting the game onto Sony's current-gen flagship, players can also view the very first episode of "Developer Diaries for PlayStation 4". This special series of blogs will show behind-the-scenes look at how the team brought the game to Sony’s console.

I'm surprised it's taken this long. It came out on 360 ages ago, and Xbox One more recently.
