Zotac Zbox Mini PC Announced

If you're looking for a PC that you can around in your pocket then look no further than the Zotac Zbox Mini. It's a portable PC powered by USB and hooks up to your TV or monitor via HDMI.

We're not talking PC gaming performance here, but the Zbox Mini comes with a rather nice set of specs, especially considering the size:

Equipped with Intel's latest Cherry Trailer Atom X5-Z8300 you'll be getting a entirely passively cooled, quad-core performance (up to 1.84 Ghz) and partnered with 2GB DDR3 memory, you'll have plenty of power for all your web browsing and office application needs. You also get a full ethernet port, built-in Wifi, blutooth and a USB 3.0 port, meaning connectivity shouldn't be a problem.

Running on a pre-installed version of Windows 10 Home, there are no cutbacks here either. Although, with only 32GB of storage space things will fill up pretty quickly, fortunately the device also includes a 3-in-1 card reader which supports SD, SDHC and SDXC, so there are plenty of options for expansion.

It may not be the kit to replace your desktop but it certainly could be worth having as a HTPC or as a backup in case things go down.

No official price as of yet, but if it's anything like last year's Intel Compute Stick, we'd suspect around £100, but we'll find out soon enough.
