Best Gifts For A Playstation Fan

Best Gifts For A Playstation Fan

Christmas is just around the corner, and it can be hard to find the right gifts for some people. Well, if you’re struggling to find gifts for a PlayStation fan, here are a few ideas.

1) 20th Anniversary Grey Controller

As the name suggests, this dualshock was released to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original PlayStation . The controller has been designed to recreate the original controller. The controller functions the same as a normal DualShock 4, but the controller is visually pleasing. The best thing about the controller is the home button. Instead of the new white PlayStation logo, the home button has been replaced with the original green, blue, red and yellow logo. This controller is sure to summon up the memories of those fans who have been playing since the early days of PlayStation. The controller itself will set you back about £50, but always be careful when buying controllers second hand as sometimes they can be faulty in a few ways or they could even be fakes.

2) PlayStation Classic

The PlayStation Classic has only recently come out, seeing as micro consoles have been all the rage over this past year. It comes with 20 pre-installed games, with classics like Metal Gear Solid, Tekken 3, Final Fantasy VII, Resident Evil: Directors Cut and more. Just like the 20th Anniversary controller the PlayStation Classic is bound to make those old memories (of being really bad at games) flow back into your mind. Even if you’ve never played any original PlayStation games, this is a great chance to play all those essential classics. The size of the PlayStation Classic is 45% smaller than the original PlayStation and can almost fit in one hand (as long as you don’t have baby hands of course). Right now, it costs £90, and with over 350 hours worth of games (yes, I worked it out), I’d say it’s worth it.

3) PlayStation Apparel

Clothes for Christmas, I used to dread the thought of unwrapping (tearing open) a present and finding clothes where something like a game should have been. Now though, I love clothes. I’m always looking at things like hoodies, shirts and hats, they’re just a great way to show off what you love. If you’re really struggling to find gifts for any gaming fan, clothes are the way to go. Whether you intend for it to be your main gift, or just a little side gift, clothes are always a great option.

If you’re feeling particularly nice though, you could get the brand new Nike x PlayStation PG 2.5 shoes for said fan.
But be prepared to spend something like £100 on them, though if I were you, I’d get them quick as Nike are running out quite fast.

4) PlayStation VR

When I say PSVR, specifically the starter pack from Game. I recently acquired this bundle myself as an early Christmas present and it is amazing. I used to think that VR just wasn’t for me. I didn’t like the idea of teleporting to move (I now know that you have two options to move. I should have done my research) and something else that I didn’t like the fact it’s weird. But when I got it, I immediately fell in love with it. I know that everyone says it all the time but it really does feel like you’re in the game. I’ve been playing in Resident Evil 7 in VR mode and it’s SCARY! I almost needed to change my pants on more
than a few occasions. Playing it in VR is amazing. I love horror, I read Stephen King a lot and I always watch horror films. The thing is, horror is dying. Horror movies suck now (apart from Hereditary of course) and games seem to be even worse. I had given up on finding a good PS4 horror game, and then Resident Evil 7 came along. Anyway, I’m getting really far off track here, but Resident Evil 7 is the reason I’d recommend this bundle. VR is just amazing, if you’re shooting something, you have to look exactly where you want to shoot. It’s the most real feeling thing that has ever happened in games. The reason that GAME has the best bundle is because they have permanently reduced the price to £200, that really is a lot of money. Also it comes with two months of NOW TV and PlayStation VR Worlds just to sweeten the deal.

But if you’re really struggling to choose a gift, there’s always money. You can’t really go wrong with that.
