Eight Things to Do in Gotham Knights

Eight Things to Do in Gotham Knights

Love it or hate it, Gotham Knights is here to stay. For those looking to pick up the game, or for those who already have but are looking for something to do outside of the campaign missions, we here at GameGrin have you covered with our list of eight things you can do in Gotham Knights.

1. Fast Travel Unlocks

The city of Gotham is a big place and getting from one end to the other can be a real pain when you are in a hurry. Fortunately, the game has a fast travel system you can use: cue your own personal jet-powered glider courtesy of Foxteca. However, before you can make full use of the glider, you will first need to clear the airspace for each section of the city you want to use it in. This will require you to locate and scan the GCPD drones in each district.

2. Landmarks

Gotham City may not be a real place but it has many iconic locations from the Batman mythos. Across the map there are 40 landmarks for you to find, these include places such as Wayne Enterprises or Gotham City Hall to name a couple. Once you locate the commemorative plaque for each of the locations you will be on your way to striking this collection from your to-do list.

3. Batarangs

Though Batman may be dead there is evidence of his time protecting the city all throughout Gotham, a total of 60 batarangs can be found scattered across the rooftops and alleyways. The reward (an ability point) for completing this collection may not feel equal to the work you have to put in, but if you are like me you can't let this collection go unattended in your log.

4. Unending Crime

Like you would expect, Gotham City becomes infested with crime come sundown. Patrolling the city at night is something that comes naturally in the game, but it is also easy to avoid it and just bounce from priority mission to priority mission. Engaging in crime fighting on the street level is a great way to earn XP and crafting supplies.

5. Playing with Photo Mode

Like with many AAA games in the open world genre, Gotham Knights provides an in-game photo mode. Personally I love when this is included in a game, as someone who takes a lot of screenshots, having this makes my life so much easier. But aside from it being a great tool it also adds to the fun of the experience.

6. Challenges

During your time playing Gotham Knights, you will be given challenges you can complete for rewards; I would argue that some of these challenges (such as unlocking your Knighthood) are essential to a playthrough. Don’t neglect your challenge menu!

7. Street Art / Graffiti

While grappling from the rooftops you may notice that the city is covered in graffiti, being Gotham this really is not surprising. However, if you pay close attention, you will occasionally come across truly beautiful works of art. There are 12 pieces you can find, once you do, scan them with your AR ability to add them to your collection.

8. Caches

During Batman's time safeguarding Gotham, he stored away 12 caches of equipment around the city. Batman, being a character known for making contingency plans, was ever the prepared crime fighter. With him gone, these caches are yours for the taking. After the system has identified who is trying to access the cache, you will be required to run a small timed obstacle course to get past Batman's secondary identity verification. The items within can be quite valuable so don't run the other way when you see one pop up on your map.

Hopefully, our list has proven useful in giving you some ideas about where to focus your down time in Gotham Knights. It can’t all be chasing members of the Rogues Gallery after all.
