Gameston Helps Backup Your Saved Games

Gameston is a new piece of software that helps you keep automated backups of your saved games. This will be especially helpful to those of you who have a more regular schedule of formatting your computer, than say a natural biorythm of sleeping.

It's also going to be helpful if you're notorious for overwriting your saved games, or getting yourself so stuck within a game that you need to go back a couple of saves.

While the database of games supported doesn't currently cover everything you may ever play, this software is still in beta and is constantly having its database updated. This means that you can start with the current supported games and add them in as they become supported by the software.

Unfortunately, there's no support for Steam games - just yet anyway. But with more and more games appearing on less popular platforms; some games that don't or won't ever appear on Steam are also supported.

But here's an awesome GameGrin tip for you all. Set your backup folder to one that you keep within your DropBox folder and you'll have double backups of your game saves with the version history of files that DropBox keeps.

Combine these two items, and you should never have to worry about the losing of your game saves ever again!
