MARVEL Cosmic Invasion - Part 4 - Wakanda
Welcome to the fourth stage guide for the MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, this retro-influenced beat-‘em-up game has a variety of characters to battle as, on your own or with friends. In this series, I’m going through stage by stage to describe what heroes the game recommends using, the challenges that are set, and what foes and dangers await you, along with info about the boss and some tips to defeat them. Today, we travel to Black Panther's home, Wakanda.
WAKANDA — Battle for Birnin Zana

Challenges — Defeat the mission's boss using Black Panther. Hit three enemies with a Single Shield throw using Captain America. Destroy bug pods before they spawn 25 enemies
Black Panther and Captain America are the suggested heroes for this stage if you want to complete the challenges set.

Shuri tells you that Klaw has sabotaged the shields around Birnim Zana to allow the incoming insectoid pods to get into the city. We start out on the street and see the chaos as all the residents are running away on foot, trying to get away from the A.I.M. agents, who are easy to spot in their bright yellow hazmat suits, and get out of the area. In this stage, the agents have a new attack we haven't seen before; they throw explosives that resemble the pumpkin bombs that Green Goblin throws in the Spider-Man series.

When Cap tosses his shield after holding down the top face button, he performs a distance throw, which makes the shield go further and move slower coming back to him wherever he is currently standing. So if you move around, it will alter the path of the shield so you can cut multiple enemies at once. This attack is one of my favourites to use in the game!

Green bugs carrying pink sacks come running across the screen. If you are fast enough, you can kill them before they use the item they are carrying as a glider to fly across the screen; it’s always easier to defeat an enemy while they are on the ground. Some of the same type of bugs are flying and shooting using those pink gliders they were carrying; there are the standard yellow insectoids that we had battled in New York, and strong green insectoids that can protect themselves with a shield. If you weren’t already swarmed, joining this batch of enemies are pods that fall from the sky that enemies spawn out of. Ideally, you destroy it before the foes jump out. You will need to destroy 25 of these to complete one of the listed challenges.

We then jump onto the top of a street train and battle more insect enemies, but be careful, as it is easy to fall off the sides. There are also signs and overpasses that you will need to duck under or jump over to avoid getting hit or knocked right off the train. There is a chance to replenish some health here if you grab the cooked turkey on the top of the train; you have to be fast, as it is moving along with the screen. Once your ride is over and you reach the platform, break the crate to get some food and replenish some health, then it is time for our battle against Klaw.

There are four short pillars on each corner of the battle area that sink into the ground and pop back up. They seem to control the invincibility device that Klaw uses, so you can't damage him. When a pillar lights flash green, hit it to temporarily disable them so that Klaw becomes vulnerable to getting hit. You can wear his health down with Captain America, but make sure you defeat him with Black Panther to complete another challenge and get the upgrades.

With Klaw defeated, it’s time to head to the next stage. Shuri has tracked the bugs' ships and has learned that they are coming from the moon, so we know where the battle is headed after the visit to the Savage Land.
