The Best Videogames Featuring a Virtual Casino

Over the years, several videogames have featured mini casino games, innovative gambling games, and in some cases, even fully-fledged, in-game virtual casinos. Next, we will quickly go through some of those games that did it the best.

Super Mario 64 (Nintendo DS)

People usually do not associate Nintendo with gambling, but that’s only true for those who have not played enough of these games to know better! For example, did you know that there is a hidden casino game named Picture Poker inside Luigi’s Casino in Super Mario 64 DS?

What made this 2D, simplistic virtual casino game so awesome is the fact that it was indeed a secret. So few people managed to unlock the hidden slide that most players did not even know about it back in the day. Nobody was sure how to unlock Picture Poker at that time, although vague instructions floated around on forums. When players did stumble upon the poker game by chance, it always made for an amazing and unexpected mini casino game experience.

The Sims 3: Lucky Simoleon Casino DLC

The Lucky Simoleon Casino is one of the most complete virtual casinos we have ever seen in a non-gambling videogame. This one was a paid DLC for The Sims 3 main game, and with a name like Lucky Simoleon Casino, it kind of had to be!

Your Sims will be the only ones who will get to play at the Lucky Simoleon Casino’s range of slots, card games, roulette, and other table games, as is the nature of all things in the Sim Series. However, complete with user-generated mods, you can build and manage massive virtual casinos of your own here. In case you want to try your own luck at virtual casino games and win real money while at it, this article tells you all you need to know.

Red Dead Redemption Series

Red Dead Redemption 1 & 2 are two of the best western-themed third-person shooters available today, and both feature virtual gambling games in them. Just like all other parts in the Red Dead Redemption series, Rockstar has managed to portray the old western gambling theme with impressive accuracy. You get a wider choice of card games in Red Dead Redemption 2, with blackjack, poker, and dominoes being playable options in a variety of different settings, but often inside old western saloons and taverns.

Fallout: New Vegas

Are there accessible virtual casinos in Fallout: New Vegas that survived the nuclear apocalypse? Most certainly, but they are not exactly honest! In total, there are seven virtual casinos in Fallout: New Vegas, namely:

  • Primm Vikki and Vance Casino – Blackjack, roulette, and slot games.
  • Atomic Wrangler Casino - Blackjack, roulette, and slot games.
  • Gomorrah - Blackjack, roulette, and slot games.
  • The Tops - Blackjack, roulette, and slot games.
  • Sierra Madre Casino - Blackjack, roulette, and slot games.
  • Ultra-Luxe – No slot machines, but blackjack and roulette are available.
  • Sunset Sarsaparilla Headquarters – The only place where players get to play Lucky Horseshoes, but it is also the only game available there.

There is also a special card game called Caravan in Fallout: New Vegas, but you only get to play that with caravan guards and travellers in the desert.

GTA: San Andreas

Gamers often share the opinion that Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto series reached its pinnacle in single-player gaming with GTA: San Andreas. There are several reasons as to why people think so, but the abundance of virtual casinos inside San Andreas is certainly one of them.

You will find a total of 13 virtual casinos in the game, and all gambling houses are located in the fictional city of Las Venturas. As a player, you can gain entry and access the casino games in only three of them though, but that is more than enough. The three accessible casinos in Las Venturas are:

  • Caligula's Palace – Players get access to games like American roulette, blackjack, video poker, and even some slot machines here.
  • Casino Floor – Your choice is limited here, with blackjack, video poker, and a Wheel of Fortune game being the only gambling options.
  • Four Dragon Casino – Perhaps the most elaborate and feature-rich virtual casino in the game, Four Dragon features blackjack and roulette tables, slot games, video poker, and the Wheel of Fortune.

You may also see a craps table and a Texas Hold’em poker table in the casinos, but accessibility was removed in the final version of GTA San Andreas, unfortunately.
This is not a comprehensive list because that would be far too long for one post. Nevertheless, each title on this list will provide you with some of the best in-game virtual casino experiences that you can have in a videogame that has not been designed primarily as a casino game.

For my entertainment, I have always chosen very complex online games, because only in this way the interest and desire to complete the game with a victorious finale increases, and besides, it develops, and thereby increases the personal intellectual level, which by the way is very important for the self-development of the individual. In addition, abrupt and unexpected changes that can occur in the process itself have a positive effect on the speed of thinking, which also appeals to me. Developing such mental qualities in oneself contributes to intense mental activity that helps me to win at online casino slots  , which brings incredible pleasure and joy of victory.

Of course, there are a lot of varieties of entertainment in the whole world, and their thematic choice is also huge. There are live games and online entertainment. The second ones are more suitable for me, since you don’t have to go anywhere, but you can have fun at home and online.
