QPAD Flux 65 Model 5 Gaming Keyboard Review
The QPAD Flux 65 Model 5 is a gaming keyboard that’s all about customisation and performance, packed into a compact 65% layout. Right out of the box, it feels premium. The anodised aluminium switch plate and sturdy ABS frame give it a solid build, and the choice of black or white means it’ll fit right into any setup. It’s small enough to save desk space but still has all the keys you actually need, which is a win for gamers who like a clean, minimalist look.
The keycaps are double-shot PBT, so they’re built to last and won’t fade over time. The RGB lighting is fully customisable, and you can tweak it to match your mood or game. Whether you want subtle effects or full-on light shows, it’s all there, and the Qontrol software makes it super easy to set up.

Performance-wise, this keyboard is a beast. The Gateron magnetic switches are smooth and responsive, and you can adjust the actuation points for each key. That means you can make some keys super sensitive for fast inputs in FPS games, while others can be set firmer to avoid accidental presses when typing or grinding in MMOs.
The Rapid Trigger tech is a game-changer too — it resets keys instantly when you release them, so you can pull off quick moves and directional changes without any lag. Pair that with the 8K polling rate, and you’ve got a keyboard that’s ridiculously fast and precise.
Typing and gaming on the Flux 65 feels great. The silicone dampening under the keys keeps things quiet, so you won’t annoy your teammates or housemates during late-night sessions. It’s got that satisfying feel without the loud clicks, which is a nice touch.

However, coming from a full-sized keyboard to this one was a bit of a challenge at first. Everything is, of course, closer together given the compact build. Also, it lacks the F keys along the top, along with most buttons you’ll find on the right side of larger keyboards. A lot of these can be accomplished by holding the Fn key, but if you need to quickly hit F12 to take a screenshot, it makes things a bit more complicated.
Overall, the QPAD Flux 65 Model 5 is an absolute powerhouse. It’s perfect for gamers who want speed, precision, and customisation all in one package. Sure, some of the advanced features might be overkill if you’re just a casual player, but if you’re serious about gaming or just love having a keyboard that feels tailored to you, this one’s hard to beat.

It hasn’t replaced my old keyboard — I love a numberpad — but it’s nice and portable, though heavier than its size would suggest.
