24-hour Macmillan Game Heroes Starts in May

As part of the ‘Macmilan Game Heroes’ campaign on Saturday 20th May, over 15 Professional streamers, including Stodeh, Ltzonda and AOAAGold will unite together and take part in an array of gaming activities to raise money for those affected by cancer.

All the action will be broadcasted live on Twitch and will also take place at Twitch HQ in London. Starting at 12pm on 20th May and finishing at 12pm the following day. The team of streamers will be divided into teams and will compete against one another in a number of challenges on multiple games.

Of course, this isn’t an event just for the professionals, you can take part too! Macmillan is encouraging all gamers at home to become a Game Hero and get involved in the action by taking on their own gaming marathon. Choose whether to go in alone or team up with friends and help raise money and be heroic. As said by Heather Pearl, Head of the National Events at Macmillan Cancer Support:

“We’re encouraging gamers at home to hold their own gaming marathon and get sponsored to do so, as well as asking people to tune into Twitch on Saturday 20th May to watch their favorite professional streamers go head-to-head for 24-hours. All money raised will help Macmillan continue to provide emotional, financial, medical and practical support to people affected by cancer.”
