A Total War Saga - Thrones of Britannia Announced

Sega and Creative Assembly have announced a brand new spin off in their ongoing Total War RTS series titled A Total War Saga – Thrones of Britannia.

The latest entry in the series focuses on The British Isles in 878AD,  and the array of battles with the invading viking hordes that occurred over the course of the time period, but will not be the next main historical entry in the series. As a result of the game's smaller setting, Thrones of Britannia will feature compact but more detailed maps, allowing players to take full advantage of the available terrain to eliminate the enemy army. 

A Total War Saga – Thrones of Britannia is set to release in 2018, but does not currently have an exact release window.
