Age of Mythology: Extended Edition Trailer Released

The classic fantasy turn-based strategy game Age of Mythology is getting a surprise reboot by developer Ensemble Studios.

The new extended edition will feature the main game and it's expansion, Age of Mythology: The Titans, along with native HD graphics (because the original's cutting edge 2002 would look more than a little out of date), multiplayer, Twitch streaming capabilities and an added day/night cycle. The game will also give players access to the Steam Workshop, where members of the Steam community can share their own mods and customizations. 

The original Age of Mythology received wide critical acclaim at the time of its release, selling (what was) an impressive one million copies within five months of its release. Developed during the height of success of its sister franchise Age of Empires, Age of Mythology lets players take control of ancient cultures--Egyptian, Norse, Greek and Atlantean--and with the help of their patron god or goddess conquer their enemies during campaigns or relatively quick random-map matches.

Age of Mythology: Extended Edition is available for pre-order on Steam during April, and will be released in May.
