Aorus Add Two More Laptops to Their Gaming Range, Including the 4K Equipped X5s V5

Gigabyte have made a name for themselves in the gaming market, but their hardcore targeted Aorus brand isn't too well known yet. Founded in 2014, Aorus are aimed at gamers who want high powered machines that won't give you a hernia carrying them to LAN party. We've already seen a refresh in their range last week with the introduction of two new mechanical keyboards, and now it's the turn of their laptop range to get some TLC. Two new skylake-equipped models have been launched.

The X5S v5 is the latest incarnation of the firm's mid range model. This isn't a slouch though, as it features a core i7 6700HQ and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M. This is the mobile GPU that Nvidia proudly proclaim is the world's fastest. It's a slim and light model, aiming to find a balance between portability and power. This is the lighter of the two announced models, but has the highest resolution as it features a 15.6" 4K screen. 

If you want a bit more grunt then the second model is a desktop replacement which is more focused on raw performance. The X7 Pro v5 has an i7 6820HK processor and dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M in SLI with G-SYNC. The display is lower resolution but larger at 17.3” in Full HD. It's still super thin at 23.9mm but weighs a bit more at 3kg. (23.9 mm/3kg) mobile form factor.
