Asteroids Outpost Announced

Asteroids: Outpost is an open world, sandbox survival game on its way to Steam.

In a massive nod o' th'ead to Jonathon Coulton (or we hope so, anyway), the game has you harvesting your fortune and fighting off claim jumpers in space. Salty Games and Atari have announced the title that is heavily inspired by the 1979 classic arcade machine that the older reader will remember with a misty eye and lump in the throat.

More details on game play, videos and beta invites are promised over the next few weeks, and we shall be here to keep you all up to date.

In the mean time, have some system specs so you know what hardware you shall need to get out there and join the extraterrestrial gold rush.
