Everyone and their cat wants to make the most powerful smartphone in existence - for at least the following few months - but few think about accessorising them for playing games. Well, that's where the ASUS ROG Phone II shines.
It boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus @2.96GHz with a Qualcomm Adreno 640 GPU, as well as a 6000mAh long-life battery and a 120Hz/1ms AMOLED 10-bit HDR 6.59" display. For storage, the normal version of the ROG Phone II has 512GB, while the Ultimate version has 1TB, both come with up to 12GB RAM. There are also dual front-facing speakers and what they've dubbed Dual Surrounding Vibration technology. You can find the full specifications by clicking the blue button below this news post.
So, what makes it different to other handsets? It's designed with landscape mode in mind - the charger port is on the side, so you can remain plugged in while you play, and the stereo speakers are positioned at the top and bottom to give you a better audio experience. It can also be expanded with a unique range of accessories.
As well as being compatible with the ROG WiGig Display Dock Plus and Mobile Desktop Dock, there's a new modular ROG Kunai Gamepad which can be used on it's own, or connected to the ROG Phone II.
You can preorder the ROG Phone II on the ASUS e-shop and be shipped from the end of September on selected retailers. The ROG Phone II Ultimate Edition will be available in Q4 2019.
