Badland: Game of the Year Edition Coming This Month
Frogmind has announced that side-scrolling action adventure, Badland, will be getting a Game of the Year edition this month.
Badland, originally released on tablet devices will launch on eight new platforms offering brand-new controls, content and local multiplayer features.
The levels of Badland have been rebuilt for the Game of the Year Edition to suit the new control mechanics. The new edition features over 15 hours and 100 levels of single-player story content, 100 co-op levels, and 27 multiplayer deathmatch stages for up-to-four-players.
"Badland: Game of the Year Edition looks stunning in Full-HD with all its visual enhancements, and the multiplayer gameplay has been praised wherever we have shown it. The co-op mode works well even for players of different skill levels – as long as one player survives, he’ll be able to quickly resurrect the others back into the game. Badland: Game of the Year Edition delivers one of the best local multiplayer experiences on these new platforms.”
- Johannes Vuorinen, co-creator of Badland
Badlands: Game of the Year Edition is out for PS4, PS3, and PS Vita on 26th May in North America, and 27th May in Europe. PC, Mac, and Linux will get it on 28th May with the Xbox One release following on the 29th May.
The Wii U release is expected towards the end of June with the exact date to be announced soon.
