Ballistix Announces Tactical Tracer Memory

Ballistix Announces Tactical Tracer Memory

For those who can’t get enough of RGB lighting Ballistix have announced a new selection DDR4 Gaming Memory modules. Now, PC enthusiasts can not only game in style but can gain improved gameplay and performance with 2666 MT/s memory speeds.

The RGB lighting is fully user controlled using the Ballistix M.O.D. Utility. So you can match the colours of your rig. On top of this, the tool also allows for temperature monitoring. Finally, for those who own 3D printers, the new memory also sports a removable top bar. You can download design files from http://www.ballistixgaming.com/ and print your own unique top bar.

Anyone else think the RGB craze is getting a little out of hand now?

Whilst it may well be getting out of hand, it'd be great to see a unified standard for the control of them all.

There's a lot of first-party software for controlling these, with different levels of support for things like games. If there were an open standard that devs could implement once and be done with, it'd open the RGB spectum massively.

Indeed, at the moment it almost seems like you have to buy your mobo / GPU from the same company to coordinate, bring on standards!
