BALLS, The Monster Catchin’ Musical-Comédy, At NYCC, Plus an After Party at Sugar Mouse

If you’re a Pokémon fan in the United States going to New York Comic Con (NYCC), which starts Thursday, 9 October, and runs through Sunday, 12 October, keep an eye out for a special panel and After Party at Sugar Mouse NYC on Friday.

BALLS: The Monster-Catchin' Musical Comédy, an Off-Broadway pop-up parody created by Brandon Zelman and Harrison Bryan we covered back in July, will feature a panel at the Javits Center on Friday, 10 October, from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m.

At the panel, the team behind BALLS will appear with Veronica Taylor, the original English voice of Ash Ketchum, and Stuart Zagnit, the original English voice of Professor Oak. The panel will also feature live musical performances, puppet battles, and special giveaway prizes. More information can be found at their panelist page on the NYCC website.

After the panel, starting at 10 p.m. and going into the night, the BALLS team will co-host an After Party at Sugar Mouse NYC, in collaboration with Tenshi & Zilla, the creators of “PokéFest” – featured in Time Out NY. Sugar Mouse NYC is an innovative gaming hub in the East Village known for its 360 degree projectors and providing a space for nerd culture night life events. The party will include interactive experiences, merch giveaways, trading card markets, plus meet & greet opportunities with Zagnit and Taylor. You can learn more here, where you can also get tickets for $15 with the code TALLGRASS.
