BattleTech Kickstarter Ends with Almost $3 Million

If you're just hearing of this now, Harebrained Schemes, the developers behind the Shadowrun titles, have just finished a Kickstarter to reboot the BattleTech series.

Finishing with almost 42,000 backers and at a total of $2,785,537 - over a goal of $250,000 - it has hit all four stages of funding. This means that everything the developer wanted to put in the game, can now be put into the game including PvP Multiplayer, after funding the first part of development themselves.

As well as Kickstarter, they have been collecting funds via PayPal, which have totaled $65,846.
