Bongo Cat Celebrates Steam Summer Sale with Latest Summer Event

Bongo Cat is an idle typing game where you get your own kitty to play bongos alongside your tapping. Developed by Marcel Zurawka and published by Irox Games with the prestigious Overwhelmingly Positive rating, with over 100,000 players logged at any time, this free-to-play title has caught the attention of many.

Part of the reason for Bongo Cat's success is none other than its gacha-like system that encourages the use of the community shop to spruce up your cat or even make a buck for typing. These games have become quite famous on Steam ever since the launch of Banana, as the use of the community market gives players the opportunity to get some money for games or cards, and the developer gets a cut of any purchases made.

The latest update for Bongo Cat is officially here, bringing in a whole new event, including limited-time items (like the previous April Fools' one ran a few months ago). This time, 20 new cosmetics have been added, four for each rarity, and two per type (so two cats, two hats, four legendaries, then repeat for Epic, Rare, Uncommon, and Common).

• Hawaiian Shirt (Rare Cat)
• Sweaty (Rare Cat)
• Beachball (Uncommon Hat)
• Coconut Drink (Uncommon Hat)
• Sunburned (Uncommon Cat)
• Wet Suit (Uncommon Cat)
• Flip Flop (Common Hat)
• Lemonade (Common Hat)
• Floaties (Common Cat)
• Sand (Common Cat)

Additional to this, all of the item store cosmetics are at a 20% discount. All of the Summer items will be available until the 18th of July 2025, after which point, they'll be retired like the Bongo Dog April Fools' event.
