Bullet Noir is Leaving Early Access with a New Devlog That Explains More

Bullet Noir, the neo-noir twin-stick shooter from Wolcen Studio officially has a date to leave Early Access on Steam. But what can you expect from Version 1.0? To coincide with launch, Wolcen Studio has released the fourth entry of their developer diary series.

In Devlog 4, the Community Manager, Meric Caciki takes the time to explore the gritty world of Bullet Noir. In this, she talks about the details and improvements that have been made since launching in Early Access.

Those who’ve been playing already will know that the narrative spanned to four chapters through four different protagonists: the Cop, the Doctor, the Priest, and the Lady. However, Version 1.0 will introduce a new fifth chapter that intertwines the previous stories with a total of 35 levels and new cinematics that reimagine the four earlier chapters.

Outside of this, Version 1.0 will expand Bullet Noir’s arcade offerings. There will be an enhanced arcade mode and speedrun options for all four protagonists. Players will also notice technical upgrades, full controller support, overhauled graphics and cinematics, refined UI, and localisations in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish.

Bullet Noir is Wolcen Studio’s debut title under their indie initiative, which was made to nurture in-house grassroots projects into full releases. Players are invited to uncover the backgrounds of each of the four protagonists, with each one consumed by their own need for vengeance. In the end, all of these narratives will intertwine to reveal the larger story.

You can find out more by watching the devlog, and hey, if you’re excited about the launch, then Bullet Noir will release on 10th September. It will be $11.99/£9.99 and there will be a 20% launch discount that will be available for the first week to mark the occasion.
