Buried in Ice - An Unofficial Videogame Adaptation of John Carpenter's "The Thing"

John Carpenter's horror classic The Thing has remained the inspiration for countless pieces of horror fiction throughout the years. Now, with its upcoming title Buried in Ice, Liquid Engine Development is looking to translate the arctic horror tale almost directly to the medium of videogames.

Set in an Antarctic research base, players take on the role of someone accused of murdering their colleagues (hint: it was actually the monster). Now, they must take down the monster, known as "the THING", while working alongside the remaining survivors who think the protagonist is a murderer. Do they take down the monster, saving the remaining survivors and humanity at large? Or do they work to escape, colleagues—and the fate of humanity—be damned? The choice is up to you: moral decision-making plays a role in how the game's adaptive story will play out.

Buried in Ice will release for PC and consoles. It has no confirmed release date.
